Today is a very sad day at our house…tomorrow my younger brother Courtney is heading out on an 1800 mile one-way trip to new adventures in New York.
Court is one of my best friends and I’m really going to miss having him around. We always have such a great time together, from shopping trips to bowling on the Wii and we always have the best talks, usually in the middle of the night. He has always been that one person in my life that I can turn to that is totally 100% honest with me…even when the truth hurts a little.
Court has also been a great friend to John…they are such a crack up when they’re together, of course most of the time they’re making fun of me. They’ve enjoyed many fishing trips together, late nights watching crappy movies and they both love a good game of Settler’s of Catan.

But Court will be most missed by my kids…they LOVE him so much and he loves them right back. Zach and Court have a brotherly bond and really enjoy hanging out together. They love rocking out to Guitar Hero and of course playing World of Warcraft. Zach always looked forward to the times Court came to his soccer games and was always grateful for his extra coaching and encouragement. Zach looks up to him so much and I’m so glad that he has been such a great influence in his life.

Cameron and Court share a love of fantasy and have been on many adventures together…everything from fort building and joisting in the back yard to hunting down Orks on our camping trips. These two always know how to have a fun time…just give them an empty box and some wrapping paper rolls.

Now Ashley and Court have a very special bond…she absolutely adores him, even though he can push her buttons like no one else can. He knows her so well, like the time he bought her a karaoke machine for her birthday. The thing I like best about their relationship is that he doesn’t baby her or exclude her…instead he treats her just like one of the boys…especially when they’re all playing dodge ball on the trampoline.
We’ve all really enjoyed having him around...especially the many times he’s stepped in as our Manny (male nanny) or watched the kids last minute so John and I could have a date night or run to the store or the many times he’s dropped everything and met us at CB & Potts for a nice family dinner. We all love him so much and while we’ll miss him immensely…we’re so excited for his new adventure and wish him nothing but happiness.
Drive safe little bro.
