Cameron's Party

Happy Birthday Cameron!
This weekend we had fun celebrating Cameron’s 8th birthday. We took Cam along with 4 of his buddies to play 18 holes of mini golf. Then we headed over to Trail Dust Steak House for some delicious BBQ and lots of sliding and dancing.

Happy Birthday Cameron

Our funny boy is turning 8 years old this Sunday. Cameron is the most kindhearted, comical, artistic child I’ve ever met. He has been entertaining us his whole life and continues cracking us up with his clever wit and dead-on impressions. Cam has a wild imagination and is always drawing detailed characters and creating amazing fantasy stories. He’s an awesome reader and loves learning about animals and science. Cameron also loves playing soccer, riding his bike and over the summer started swimming like a champ. He lights up my day as he is always the first one up in the morning and always has a huge smile on his face.

Lovey Dovey.

Cameron is the sunshine in our family and we are so blessed to have such a wonderful, caring young man in our lives. We love this boy!

Roxbourgh State Park

John and I took Ashley and Cameron for a walk through beautiful Roxborough State park on Sunday. It was a perfect day for it, sunny clear skies with a little chill in the air. We should really do this more often especially considering it’s only a 10 minute drive from our house.

Do you see the squirrel way up on top of the rock?
He was throwing acorns down at us!

Ashley’s Super Awesome Birthday Slumber Party

Look who's 7!

Question: What do you get when you combine 11 first grade girls, a trampoline, crafty flip flops, diva sunglasses, feather boas and some loud rock’n tunes?

One totally awesome, rock-star, dance crazy night.

Then take 9 exhausted, danced out girls and add in a 9:00pm showing of High School Musical 2 and you get a nice quiet sleep over.

Happy Birthday Ashley

Our baby girl is turning 7 years old today. Ashley has and always will be a girly girl. She loves anything pink, accessorizing the perfect outfit, having her nails done, going shopping and is totally obsessed with High School Musical. But she’s also a tough cookie… she loves sports, has mastered the monkey bars, rides her bike so fast it scares us and has no problem getting dirty with her brothers. Ashley still has the same spunky personality we adored at an early age. She adds a fun dynamic to our home…she is loving, loyal and kind while being opinionated, determined and fearless.

Saxophone (Sax-a-Ma-fone)

Our family got a new pet goose…at least that’s probably what our neighbors think.

Zachary has decided to become a jazz man is now playing the saxophone in the school band. He actually picked it up quite fast and is already playing pretty well…with only some occasional ‘honking’.

Jane, Phil, Nathan and Cameron joined us last night for their first traditional southern fish fry, which they found quite fascinating (especially serving the fish out of paper sacks) and very tasty. The highlight of the night was the concert put on by Zach and his buddy Nathan on his baritone (it’s like a mini tuba). They both played really well and had us in stitches the whole time especially when my 2 year old niece Rylee started yelling “stop it guys”…then demanded it was her turn. We all about died of laughter when Ry tried to stick her head inside Nathan's baritone, too bad I didn't have my camera.

By the way…I really do have 2 other children it’s just that Zach has had a lot of new things going on lately. Over the next two weeks we’ll have Cameron and Ashley’s first soccer games and they’ll both celebrate their birthdays…so I’m sure I’ll have lots of posts centered on just them.
