Pride of the Rockies Soccer Tournament

Zachary's soccer team took first place in the Pride of the Rockies Soccer Tournament down in the Springs last weekend.

The team played lights out soccer winning all 4 games...3 of them shutouts.

The game scores were 3-0, 3-2, 6-0 and 1-0.

Zach is a forward and had a very successful tournament with 5 goals and 5 assists.

He even had a hat-trick in the 3rd game scoring 3 consecutive goals.

The boys played very well together and have a tremendous boost going into the regular season which starts this weekend!

This is how Cameron watches Zach's games.

Relaxing Poolside

Zach relaxing by the hotel pool in between soccer games.
While Cameron and Ashley put on a little synchronized swimming show for the two of us.
This picture makes me laugh so hard...I LOVE IT!!

Hotel monkey business...

Too much sun, too much sugar and two double beds...this is bound to happen!

Even Zach got into the act!
Although he's getting a little too big..he almost hit his head on the ceiling.

Lily & Jack

It's super hard to get a picture of Lily sitting still.
She's always getting into something or attacking Jack.

This is what 11:00 at night looks like at our house these days.
All worn out...so cute!

I still can't believe I have a 7th grader!

Zach is two weeks into Middle School and so far so good.
Zach is enjoying all of his classes but he especially likes Algebra, Conditioning, PE and Spanish.

He's made a bunch of new friends...which is evident on his Facebook page (many of them are girls...scary).

And I think we're both finally adjusting to the earlier start time...
I drop him off at 7:00am!

Cheers to the start of a great and successful year!

Olympics, Miss Lily and Uglydolls

This weekend Ashley attended her first Gymnastic competition. The event was setup as a Mini Olympics with Ashley on team Romania. She competed in 4 different events: Beam, Floor, Vault and Uneven Bars.

She did a fantastic job and earned two 1st place and two 2nd place ribbons.

Ashley's scores were Beam 9.0 - Floor 9.5 - Vault 9.0 - Bars 8.75

Her overall score qualified her for a Gold medal in the her division.
Way to Go Ashley!
Ashley and Coach Cary
Ashley has really likes having him as a coach but we found out after the competition that he recommended her for Pre-Team which is the pre-competitive group...we are so proud and excited...tryouts are this week!!

Introducing Miss Lily
Lily is our sweet little 7 week old Lhasa Apso.

She's super cute, cuddly and looks great all dressed up!

We all love her SO much!
Lily loves chasing Cameron.
Jack has just been great with Lily, he plays with her and if anything has turned a little parental around her. It's really adorable.

Have you ever seen an Ugly Doll?
Well they are these stuffed animals/dolls that are so ugly they're actually cute. Cam and Ash have wanted one for a while....problem is they aren't cheap.
So what does a semi-crafty mom on a budget do?

She makes them.

The first one wasn't perfect (sorry Cam) but I figured it out and the others turned out pretty cute. Even Zach asked for one and now I've got a wait list of their friends who want their own Ugly doll...I better get busy.

Oh how I love her!

Did you know that Ashley has the best daddy ever and he is totally wrapped around her tiny little finger?

This weekend John and I went back to school clothes shopping for Ashley...without Ashley.

John thought we'd do better budget wise without her there. She was fine with it but made sure we were armed with catalogs and ads from all her favorite stores with circles around each outfit she wanted.

Turns out she's not the problem...I swear John would have bought her every cute thing he saw if I hadn't been there to watch over him.

This is one of the cute little numbers he picked for her.
Now back to the title...
Last night after dinner Ashley announced "I'm going upstairs to take my shower", which is totally normal for her...(I love this girl). About 30 minutes later she came downstairs dressed in her PJ's with perfectly executed sponge rollers in her hair. I told her I was very impressed.

She said "I decided that curly hair would go really well with the outfit I picked for tomorrow".

Normally I have to drag this little lady out of bed but this morning she came in with rollers removed, big bouncy curls everywhere, already dressed in her new outfit and woke me up. She then went downstairs made her own breakfast, put her dirty dishes in the dishwasher, fed the dog, brushed her teeth, packed her backpack and then because she had a few extra minutes she made her bed...(I so love this girl).

I was still in my bathroom getting ready (running a bit late) when she came in and said "Mommy can you take a picture of me in my outfit and then can we send it to daddy's phone?"
How freaking cute is that! So I'll say it once again...I LOVE THIS GIRL!

More cuteness...Puppy update 4 weeks old...only 4 more weeks to go!

Which one will it be?
