Update time...

Busy as usual around here but I heard my Nanny was looking for an update, so here are a few random happenings at our house...
Zach's rec. basketball team the Bulls ended up taking 3rd place out of 10 teams, losing in the semifinals last weekend by 2 points. He is already 2 weeks into a very challenging competitive soccer schedule with tough loses in the first 2 games. Zach decided that he really enjoyed playing basketball (John is so very pleased) and will continue to play in a Jam Ball league that has games every Sunday throughout the soccer season...he'll officially be playing two sports at the same time...this should be fun!

Cameron and Ashley both got new soccer gear are ready for their season to start. They had their first of many practices this week and have their first games this Saturday.

Report cards came home last week...full of good news for all three kids. We found out that Zach has received a recommendation for the Discovery program in Middle School next year. He'll be taking 9th grade Algebra I in 7th grade, we're so proud. Cameron is loving 3rd grade and is writing like a champ, he has such an imagination. He's also an avid reader and is currently at a 5th grade reading level. Ashley is turning out to be a math whiz just like Zachary and her reading has drastically improved. She's always off quitely reading somewhere, a major change from a few weeks ago. She's really loving the Magic Tree House series.

My work schedule has been busy, busy, busy as I'm trying to finalize a pipeline project and get the drawing package out before taking some much need vacation time!!

John is also staying busy at work and is VERY ready for Spring Break and a lot of time off as soon as possible. No major plans travel plans...actually we are staying home for a week and a half and working on house projects (exterior painting, replacing the back deck, gardening).

Zach is excited because he is getting his braces taken off tomorrow morning and on a funny note...at the same time we have the consultation appointment for getting Cameron's put on...good grief! (I'll post pictures of Zach's new smile tomorrow.)
